We took off at the end of July to visit Ocean Shores. I knew the weather would be chilly, but I wanted Jayda to play in the sand. After about 15 minutes on the beach, I was done, but Jayda insisted she was "fine". I felt so bad for her little toes! We enjoyed ourselves up until Jayda had an asthma attack and we had to visit the local Firestation!
Wow, so much has happened! Just a quick recap to those of you that remember us! Jayda is growing up more and more every day. We are in the middle stages of potty training where we have really good days, and really bad days. She is a little adult who insists on drinking from a big water bottle and thinks sippy cups are for babies! I love this stage. I can carry on a conversation with Jay, and going to activities doesn't involve a huge diaper bag. We are keeping busy, swimming alot and enjoying summer! Looking forward to conventions and seeing all of those friends we miss throughout the year!

Ok, I assume the new role of the worst blogger ever. Blame it on Facebook! I am always on there now and have connected with so many wonderful friends. Maybe I am a little addicted? So here it is November, best time of year. Today was absolutely the best day weather wise I have seen. The car said 61 degrees, but it felt so much warmer. I didn't want to sit in the house, so I made a list and set out on a big errand day. I think I did all but 2 items! My day started out with having an early coffee date with my friend Barbara. We sat and chatted about an hour while Jayda and her one year old little boy played! These kind of Saturdays make me forget the hectic days at work this past week.
Jayda's skin is looking better with time. It is so hard for me to look at past pictures and wonder how much she suffered. Her face occasionally breaks out when she eats certain items and we have made a mental note on what foods work and what foods don't. We decided a couple months ago to stop the many visits to doctors, specialists, naturopaths, homeopaths, etc. and to just let Jayda's body tell us what was working for her. She was tired of the endless tests and the pokings! The eczema seems to hang out where it should...appendages like the ankle, elbow and neck. So all in all, she still has eczema but not to the extent as she did!
Everyone else is doing great! Holidays are approaching. I am working on a big Hearing at work and just started a new class (3 more to go!!). Jayda talks non-stop and cites her ABC's and sings Happy Birthday to anyone who might be celebrating a birthday. She is going through the attachment phase, so I constantly have a little growth attached to me....love it as it won't always be like this!

Dear Jayda,
Two years ago you came into my life and it hasn't been the same! I was scared to be a mommy, alone. But the moment you entered this world, all the scared feelings went away and were replaced by happiness and joy! You are loved by so many people! The room lights up when you walk in! Your cousins, aunts and uncles, and grandma and grandpa shower you with so much love. You constantly make us smile with your new formed sentences and actions! Our family and friends have made a stable foundation for you to grow upon. At 12:45 pm today, I will remember the little face that looked at me and I said "I will never stop loving you."

What a busy day in Jayda's life. She went to the park and cousin Brant pushed her on the swing, and helped her on the tall slide. Back at Auntie Ronda's, Jayda chased her shadow and then read a book. What a busy day. Hope all is well with everyone out there in Blogville! I have been trying to be better about posting! Summer (finally) is here and we are trying to be out more, taking walks enjoying the warm evenings!
Children are amazing!
It is amazing how one little child can redirect your life. It is amazing how much an adult can learn from a little child. You learn not to be selfish, you learn patience (a lot), you learn to fall in love again each morning, you learn forgiveness (sorry bout the wet diaper on too long J), you learn to be humble and most of all, you learn to be thankful!!
